Some people have an an extremely misplaced idea of “emancipation” and “freedom”. The though of their dignity being violated may not cross their minds at all. Given the situation in the country, where women are violated on a regular basis, one would expect girls to exercise extreme caution. Don’t get me wrong here – I’m not victim blaming or indulging in gender slander. All I’m trying to understand is whether the girl knew the perils of her behavior. What sort of awareness does she possess? There have been so many cases where young girls have been sexually abused by their alleged boyfriends and his friends. Wonder if people around her speak openly on safety issues?
